The Kolb Educator Role Profile (KERP) is a product from Experience Based Learning Systems, LLC (EBLS). This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

What data do we collect?

EBLS collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (name & email address)

We do not collect sensitive information such as physical addresses, government identification numbers, credit card information, etc.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. How do we collect your data?

You directly provide EBLS with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Purchase a KERP
  • Register to take a KERP as part of a research project
  • Register to take a KERP as part of a special event

EBLS collects your data so that we can:

  • To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts
  • To deliver and facilitate delivery of services you have requested from us
  • To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users
  • To send administrative information to you
  • For internal research to enhance our product development
  • To email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like

EBLS does not sell personal information belonging to website visitors, users, and other consumers.

EBLS will share your data with our partner companies so that they may offer you certain products, services, or promotions:

  • Institute for Experiential Learning

We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

How do we store your data?

EBLS securely stores your data in an encrypted database on servers located in the United States. We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

EBLS will keep your personal identification information for 6 years from the date of registration. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by anonymizing the KERP results and removing the personal identification information.

EBLS would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like, as well as those of our partner companies:

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that EBLS erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that EBLS restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to EBLS’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that EBLS transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
